My bike was in the shop for some tweaks, so I set up my laptop in the corner and had a couple of beers and did some work whilst I waited. The locals were very friendly. Will definitely drop in again
Landlord has zero interpersonal skills is rude, arrogant and would sooner be drinking than interacting with customers who have drank here for years, probably the worst landlord I have ever met. He barred someone who's kids where playing (what else do kids do)
BEWARE - PARKING SCAM, SORRY SCHEME WARNING - The pub car park has an installed automated number plate recognition camera managed by a local company based in Poole, Dorset! I was a regular at the Old Original Bay Horse Pub. No more though. I was fined £60 (going up to £100) for 7 minutes of parking. I believed the grace period was 10 minutes. To be honest I was not aware of the parking enforcement at this car park as this is not central London but on the outskirts of Horwich! For courtesy, the bar staff at the pub should remind legitimate patrons to register their car registration at the bar when they are being served. There was no signage inside the pub and I was unaware that a parking scam, sorry scheme, was in force. Ok, so they got £60 out of my back pocket on this occasion, but obviously, I will not be frequenting this establishment again and will be buying my drinks elsewhere in the future. Regards Mr Fox
The locals know it as the flea pit but we had a great night in here. Really cheap and good tunes. What's not to like?
