Known as a traditional pub just north of Breightmet, the Mosley Arms is well worth a visit. The pub features a rare ‘blue plaque’ at the front above the function room door from Northern Music Heritage stating that the Bolton based five piece punk band TVOD was formed on the premises.
Large, comfortable and open plan, this pub has a great traditional feel with pool tables, dart board, dominoes and cards. The large wrap around bar spans the whole pub from the vault, through to the snug, ending up in the function room to the rear. From here you can get a range of beers from well-kept cask ale to premium lagers, wines and spirits.
The large function room can accommodate up to 120 people with weddings, christenings and other occasions. There’s also a large car park at the front for guests.

Nice pub good beer, they don't do food
Came for a party in the back room. Place is functional, if a little dated, but clean. It's a J W Lees pub and that means it's mainly their beers available on tap. Prices are higher to be expected for the area (basically charging town centre prices). The function room is a fair size but if you don't have the numbers the atmosphere is flat. There is a beer garden/smoking area and overall I guess it's a regulars pub rather than somewhere to put on a list of Boltons must-visit pubs. No shame in that, a pub should serve it's locals and it appears to do that job.
10er for a glass bottle coke, bottle of Stella and a pint. Lovely barmaid. Lovely clean function room along nicer than 20 years ago
Bolton Balloon Fairies was asked to decorate the function room for a Halloween 6th Birthday Party and wow what a spacious function room, it's a superb place to hold any sort of event or party, The landlady was lovely and so accommodating, made sure we had everything we needed and even said store our LED number till the following day. I would definitely recommend having a look here if your planning an occasion as the room has a slightly raised upper level, stage, decent sized dance floor and it's own bar, even a corner where a buffet fits perfectly.
Want to say an absolute massive thank you to Bernie and her three lovely patient ladies behind the bar who put up with the kids backwards and forwards to the bar for drinks. Had a brilliant buffet all organised by Bernie. Drinks on door ready by the ladies. Making sure room was always The room was perfect for my daughters wedding reception. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN
