There was no alcohol, no whisky, freezing cold, food for buffet couldn't have cost more than 25 quid,. Chicken nuggets for a funeral? No draft beer. The landlady was lovely, but I wouldn't recommend holding a wake there, although it was like a morgue!!!

We popped in with our baby and daughter for lunch today and we were so glad we did. My daughter and I had the fish and chips which were so fresh and tasty, and my husband had the white bull burger with blacksticks blue which was delicious (and my baby enjoyed some chipolatas! ). The staff were very friendly and helpful. They immediately brought some colouring things for my daughter which kept her entertained whilst she waited for her food, along with the little fish tank that she was obsessed with. We will definitely be returning!

My hubby and I went there on Sunday 10th September for my birthday lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I had a lovely roast beef dinner with all the trimmings and my hubby had the roast chicken. The meat was very tender, vegies lovely and crunchy and the service was great and people very friendly! We'll definitely be back there for Sunday roast again.

Went for evening meal on Sunday. Really nice choices on menu. I opted for the burger, which was really nice. My wife chose the small fish and chips, which was superb. For dessert one apple crumble (probably the best I've had) and sticky toffee pudding for my wife, which was amazing as well. Service was really good. We'll certainly go back based on this experience and would recommend to others.

A burger and a dessert turned into a lovely meal and 3 desserts to share between the two of us! A lovely open fire (there's 3 of them!) comfy sofa, made it difficult to get up and leave. Definitely a pub to revisit.
