Well ..blown over! Service by Jodie and other staff was impeccable. Food..large portions, beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Very busy restaurant and staff could not have been more accommodating nor polite. Room is warm, spotlessly clean, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Quiet in the room too. I'm so impressed with the Angels Hotel... I admit it's not what I was expecting. Management should be very proud of the staff they have... Attentive, polite, obviously hard working and smiley.

First visit. Popped in for food at 3.30 pm on a wet Tuesday afternoon. It was mostly empty. We both have health conditions so wanted vegan food. Limited choice so asked for a baked potato but this wasn't possible and so settled for lentil soup. We had been placed in a seat which was directly under a spotlight and just in front of a large TV screen which continually ran ads which was very distracting. Asked for a quieter table but was told this wouldn't be possible as a lot of people were coming in. 5 mins later offered a place to sit on high stools next door. We declined this as it was an even worse alternative. The place was practically empty and remained so until we left at 4.55 pm. It was a simple request which could have easily been accommodated. Perhaps ,the manager should learn a better understanding of hospitality given she works in the hospitality industry. The young members of staff were excellent.

Been a few times and always enjoyed it, but we went at the weekend and found the service to be a bit slow, we had to collar a staff member to order food. Food was not bad though, I had chicken tenders then Singapore chicken noodles, it looked like the same type of battered chicken in both dishes though, she had toast and mushrooms which were a bit lacking of the said mushrooms! Wife also found our seating area cold although there was air Con blowing just above us. Went to the bar after for a few drinks but here we found we were being charged £7.60 for 2 vodka n cokes or £9.00 by some bar staff! Did mention it to one of the young girls serving who just shrugged and said thats the price. Maybe just an off night but it was a birthday meal for the wife so a little disappointing. Not stayed in the rooms so cant comment on them.comment for the whoever sends out the email asking for a review, the google link takes you to a hotel in Edinburgh!

Have been many time for a meal & did enjoy. However last night, Saturday 13 January was a disaster. Our table was booked for 4.45. Dining room was NOT busy, many empty tables. Ordered food. Starter came within reasonable time. However, one hour after starter still waiting on main course (2 fillet steaks). Waitress just ignored us and after 1hour I went to speak to her. She was involved in a chat with another waitress. Her comment was ‘sometimes it’s difficult for the kitchen to know when to dish up main course as u had starter’. Fillet steaks arrived, cold & tough. Another waitress advised us the Manger would give us desserts on the house due to delay. We ordered 1 coffee & 1 liqueur coffee for dessert. Waitress gave us bill (for 2) £138. On leaving, after paying bill, the waitress came to us & said, sorry I should have not charged u for ur coffee as the Manager said. By this time we just wanted to leave the restaurant & forget this whole experience. £138 for a most u satisfactory & ruined Anniversary meal. Sharon, Thankyou for your response to my negative review I posted last week. As requested I emailed Emily Haugh whom u said would contact me to discuss my experience. I have done this but a week later no email or response from her. Seems to be similar to the poor service & food served last week. Such a disappointment.

First time visit for dinner and loved the food. The Peanut butter chicken to start was amazing as was the burger. Everyone had something different and couldn't fault the food. I particularly liked that there was a wide enough range of food to suit everyone so very good if like me you want to try something a bit different but others in the group want something simple like steak pie. Definitely one I would recommend.
