Original Kittys was my favourite place to go for a Guinness that was nearly as good as the homeland, but since the revamp, the quality of the Guinness has gone massively downhill. The pour was very poor and was so disappointed. Apart from that, it's a nice enough venue.

When we were trying to get in to the pub, the bouncer asked one of our friends in the group if he was with anyone but he couldn’t hear what the bouncer said and because of that, didn’t let us in (“because he was too drunk, literally didn’t have a drink yet that night) and then got in our friends face shouting at him and telling him to answer questions when he asked. Absolutely shocking behaviour and bouncers on a complete power trip

The establishment hires completely disrespectful staff to work as the bouncer. Myself and my friends attempted to take entry into the pub however we were turned away due to my friend mishearing a question. We then explained the situation and were advised our friend was too drunk to enter the premises despite my friend clearly not being inebriated. After mishearing the question the bouncer then proceeded to get in my friends face and be condescending by stating “do you not understand, next time I ask you a question answer correctly” which given the situation is completely unacceptable. I appreciate his job is to dismiss inebriated people or people he deems a threat to the other patrons of the pub however this situation did not constitute this reaction nor the disrespect. I requested the bouncers name who then proceeded to state “ if u want my name call the police” once again in a condescending tone.

We were on holiday in Glasgow on a Monday and looking for a place that's opened a bit longer. This bar was not only very big and nice, but it also had nice live music and very friendly staff & bouncers. I highly recommend this place.

Basement bar with live music. It’s always really busy so sometimes hard to get a comfortable table but on the flip side also has quite a good atmosphere when other places are empty
