Enjoyed a relaxing four night stay here. Edith and Carrie were very welcoming and gave us lots of tips for exploring the area. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The only issue we had was that we’d made a booking via their website about a month in advance, but when we arrived they hadn’t seen it. Thankfully there was a room available or else we would have been in a bit of a pinch. It might be a good idea to call and confirm any reservations.
The most friendly pub and B&B. The food is delicious , and the rooms are very modern and comfortable. I would recommend this place to stay in the area.
Pop in. Enjoy great hospitality and lovely dogs. They have good food and cold beer. Lots of board games and books to help you pass the time.
We have spent a wonderful week! Superb room, very clean, nice bathroom, comfy beds. There is a fridge, a kettle and a hairdryer in the room. Our little one very much enjoyed playing with the dogs in the pub. There were also plenty of toys to play with and a highchair. The new landladys Carrie and Edith are very kind and hospitable. The pub is still under renovation (october 22), which effects only the kitchen, so there is no cooked meals available. We were welcome to eat our takeaway meals in the pub though. Wow, if you are looking for the most dog friendly pub/accommodation in the country this has got to be one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. The accommodation is probably the best I’ve stayed at this year with the dogs, housed in a separate building at the back of the pub, it’s clean, tidy, great rooms, great bathrooms and your own little courtyard. The pub landladies are the most friendly and accommodating you could find, love dogs and as the kitchen is currently being renovated you can order takeaway to eat in the pub. Dog friendly as I said, you’re allowed to just take the leads off and let them roam around with all the other dogs in the pub. Never seen this before and probably never will again but it was fantastic. The new owners are modernising the property so I’m really looking forward to coming back next year and see what they have down with the place. Well worth a visit if passing, especially once the kitchen is back up and running.
