We ate here on Saturday. The staff were, at turns, laughing and arguing in the kitchen, for all in the dining room to hear. They certainly weren't serving people unless prompted. The pork managed to be both tough and under-cooked. The vegetables were swimming in oil. Both of us were ill afterwards. Almost comically bad.
We went for a lunch to celebrate a birthday, just before Christmas. Not many people in the restaurant, just one other couple. The food was lovely. The building is very old and has lots of charm.
We stayed for a 2 night break with our pup and had a fantastic time. The rooms are clean and cosy, the location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds and the food is superb. The staff were very friendly and the service was great. My only recommendation would be to have some quiet, soft background music in the bar/common areas, as we felt it would have elevated the atmosphere- where at times we felt we had to whisper to each other at dinner.
A delightful night's stay. Dinner was exceptional and the reasonably priced bottle of red, delicious. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. Breakfast came with plenty of options and was good. The room was comfortable but a little on the tired side, especially the shower room. I would be very happy to return.
Came here with my partner and had some of the best food we have ever had, We had the hummus and babaganoush, the English pea ravioli, and the stone bass and fricassée. The food was delicious and had clearly had a lot of thought put into it, it was all cooked beautifully and tasted amazing. The staff were amazing and attentive and were so polite. Would defiantly go here again as we had such a wonderful experience.
