Comfortable, friendly local with a vibrant Border's atmosphere that's very much a community hub. Originating circa 1792, it has been altered considerably over the years with a further refurbishment in 2016. It comprises of a single room, decorated with a large inked map of the area. A wee alcove has a golfing theme while three TVs ensure the pub is busy during sporting events. Excellent home made soup is served on Sundays. Children are not allowed.
Lovely pub that makes you feel very welcome.
Great local pub with brilliant juke box. Locals chatty if you want to talk. Really feel comfortable in it as an occasional visitor
Great pub and good folk that work and drink there.
Great local pub, very friendly and welcoming staff and patrons. Will be returning
For some reason, when I came to do this review, Google thinks this place is a hotel? It isn't and I knew that before the visit. However, I was expecting some real ales to be on, but none to be seen. I had a decent pint of Guinness instead. Not worth the walk out of town.
