I had high expectations of this place as I had eaten here before from the lunch menu. This time I ordered from the specials board, I was really looking forward to the Malay fish curry. I was a bit put off when asked if I wanted chips with it, I thought thats not very traditional. When food arrived it looked awful, my friend ordered the mixed grill which is not cheap at £27, again his looked awful and no care was put into presentation. I tasted my food and it was dreadful it tasted like someone had mixed curry powder and water and that was it. I immediately complained, the server took my food away, about five minutes passed and the chef came out saying he just tasted it and "it does taste like sh!t" he also stated the it was the other chef that made it and a big batch of it, and that he would never have served it if he'd known, so the fact he hadn't tasted it before serving shows they don't taste anything before serving. I wont be going back there again.
Visited here for lunch with friends. The food was fantastic! All homemade, freshly cooked and delicious! Service was really good with friendly welcoming staff!! Will definitely be back!!
Lovely food which was served hot and price is good too. Highly recommend. Staff are very helpful as well.
The food was very tasty, everyone enjoyed their meals. Unfortunately, there are no vegetarian options on their set menu and only 3 on their main menu. They had lasagne on the set menu, I asked if the veggie one was included to be told no as the vegetarian one is more expensive to make (however on the main menu, the vegetarian one is actually cheaper), so this appeared a flimsy reason. The vegetarian lasagna looks like it's been dropped onto the plate; It is delicious. They brought my partner the wrong curry but quickly rectified this. Serving staff and man behind the bar was very friendly.
Lovely food and service. I had the pork chop with apple sauce and cheese then the sicilian lemon and orange Charlotte for dessert. Only moan was my pork was slightly over cooked but everything else was lovely from start to finish
