I had an amazing time at Kingshouse Hotel. It was wonderful and the views were spectacular! Great food and really good breakfasts. My favourite part was how cozy it is inside and the amazing animals you get to see while walking around.
This is a lovely place with all of the current amenities ! WiFi, blow dryers, TV …. The restaurant and bar are wonderful and the fires in the hearths really add to the experience. The rooms are fine. There is nothing wrong with them. The twins turned into kings are a bit of a departure from the level of quality that we have come to expect. They were comfortable though. If we did have issues, they were minor and the staff took care of it. Dining in the domes was such a cool experience and the food in the restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner was awesome. The views … well it doesn’t get better. !
We stayed here a few months ago. Stunning location and decent but relatively expensive food in the main restaurant. Rooms were clean. Reception staff were pretty rude especially considering the cost of our room. If I could I would of rated it 3.5 stars.
On entering for a drink, we where pulled up and told quite abruptly that it is for residents only, this is fine but the manner in which we where told was very rude and unprofessional, the girl never said a simple courteous sorry. When we asked if we could use the toilet she told us we need to go outside and use public toilets at the top of the car park, unpleasant as it was howling winds and heavy rain. It’s nice to be nice, a little basic courtesy goes a long way.
Stayed here in December in a room with a beautiful view. Location is stunning. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. We booked afternoon tea in a dome. I requested a gluten free tea due to an intolerance, and it was exceptional. Sachin, our server, was lovely, and I must shout out the chef(s) because it was much tastier than the afternoon tea we had a few days later at a swanky location in London that was at least 4 times the price. We loved sitting in the bar area by the fire and having cocktails and a cheese plate. Breakfast had so many options as well. Would have loved to spend more time here and look forward to visiting again in the future.
