Very friendly village pub with a good selection of ales. Went in with a friend who lives locally and we were welcomed as if we were regulars with stories and banter abounds. Really enjoyed my visit here and hopefully we will be able to come back soon.

There's something perfectly Yorkshire about this place and it is the closest thing you'll find to 'The Slaughtered Lamb' from the film An American Werewolf in London. This is the real life version. The pub is small, cosy and very popular with rosy cheeked Hutton Rudby locals. It has open fires, quiz nights, darts matches ("You made me miss! "), key football games on the telly, great beers and inexpensive wine. The pub has real history (1865) and doesn't shout from the rafters to attract new custom. I love it. And remember.. Stay on the road lads. Keep clear of the Moors.
