Popped in for sunday lunch and had a warm welcome on arrival. Given a choice of 3 meats and ordered drinks. Food came out promptly and hot with 5 veg, Yorkshire and loads of meat. Plate was piled high! Very tasty and enjoyable. Only two Choices for desert but the chocolate brownie I had was excellent. Really good value in a quiet locals pub
Hidden away but a good place to eat outside in the courtyard and get a pint.
Good service, good food, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Food described as " Italian Inspired" and lived up to that description. Fresh specials (duck pate especially) excellent. Front of house spent time helping us make our selection. Well worth a visit.
Disappointing. Staff is not very friendly and the food was very disappointing. A fresh meat platter was rather dry, the mozzarella had clearly been out all day and the roast was clearly not home cooked, the gravy was from granulates and very salty.
Took visiting friends from Australia and very disappointing. Sunday lunch described as being served 'with all the trimmings' but the pork had no crackling, the vegetables were cold, the yorkshire pudding tasted of old oil, and the service was lacking. Wouldn't recommend it or return to it.
