What a great place ! The hotel is beautifully restored and the staff very proud of its heritage The close knit team work really hard to make you feel welcome It's spotless, friendly, great value and well worth staying here ! One of the best and we've stayed at many of these hostelries ! Monmouth itself is a gem and worth visiting
Woeful. Mixed grill - chips cold, Sent back, then peas, mushrooms and tomato then cold. Ultimate Burger- nothing Ultimate about it! Basically a dry kids Burger with limp lettuce and 3day old tomato. Tennesse Burger - disgusting. Salad was from last week, no sauce, no cheese, just a dry tasteless pile of luke warm 'food'. And the attitude from the 'manageress' was appalling. Will never come here again. Waste of £60.
Popped in for lunch. Plenty of free tables, and nice decor inside, love the old building. Ordered food and drink on the app, and drink was brought to the table very quickly. Food came in just a few minutes. The food was better than many other Spoons I've been to.....both in quality and quantity. Staff were friendly and service with a smile.
We ordered mixed grills. We had it at the table within 10 mins. 💯. . Excellent promotions. Staff smiling. Great atmosphere. Definitely be back.
Chips and onion rings were at just above room temperature, and the burger was dry as you like. I don’t think I’ve had a more “Wetherspoons” Wetherspoons. Met my expectations to the T; it’s nice to see consistency across the franchise and it felt like a home away from home. Cheap food, quick table service with very little interaction from the unsmiling staff. You know what you get with Spoons and you can’t fault them for it. 5 stars all round 👌🏼
