Really cozy pub with delicious pub classics, could have happily spent all afternoon here. All staff were very friendly and had a nice chat with the (I think) owner who was very personable and welcoming. Will definitely be back again soon!

Before I open I wish it to be known by whosoever chooses to read the enclosed that I truly wanted to enjoy The King’s Head in Little Marlow and it is with a heavy heart that I turn to pen these sombre words. On an inclement afternoon one late October day our motley cast of wet and weary walkers darkened the door of this establishment in search of ale and board. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the setting charmingly anachronistic. I regret to inform you, dear reader, that this is where the virtues ended. What was to follow was sadly nothing short of a barbarically overpriced roast dinner. The beef, so often tender and flavoursome, was closer to the sole of a shoe cooked within an inch of its life. The Yorkshire, which on another day may have risen to fluffy heights, was all but as flat as a pancake and regrettably charred. The boiled vegetables lacked flavour, and those few roast parsnips and carrots that were provided were almost raw. A glimmer of hope persisted in the form of roast potatoes, however the meagre portion (just three small roasties on my plate) made this brief deliverance all too fleeting. The price totals twenty five pounds if one opts to include cauliflower cheese (an option that I cannot in good faith endorse). I am sad to say that the quantity and mediocrity of the food does not come near to justifying this rate. If such a princely sum is demanded then the standard of the product must increase drastically. By all means, come to The King’s Head, enjoy an ale and dawdle for a moment in its antique corridors. Think of those lives that have come before, the feet that have trodden its floors and the deals struck in the dark conspiratorial corners of this bygone tavern. But, my friend, please do not order the roast.

Really great roast, visited last Sunday with my son. Children's menu also has plenty of choice. Lovely outdoor area to sit and eat.

Went her yesterday for Sunday lunch. Had a look at the menu before and it wasn’t that bad considering it was a minimised one due to covid. At first glance the prices were a bit iffy but once again covid making everything more expensive since people need to make lost revenue. Once we got in we got nicely greeted by one of the servers who was very polite. We got shown to our bench and instantly got asked for drinks which was really helpful and courteous since it was really hot outside. The drinks cane promptly and very quickly after we ordered our food. It was quite busy so the food took around 45 minutes to come which we were fine with. Once food came there was an okay amount on our plates. The presentation was decent but for the fish and chips. However, the fish was very big, the mushy peas tasted freshly made plus the tartar sauce was great. I really liked how they use local products in a lot of their meals too. After we finished we had a look at the dessert menu and ordered a couple. Once they arrived we were shocked at how small the portions were. For £6.50 I would’ve expected much more to be honest or maybe even a better presentation. Nevertheless, I just don’t feel that £150 for 5 people is good for what we were given. I do understand about prices increasing but it’s just a bit excessive.

Came here for a Sunday roast and was quite impressed. I ordered the roast chicken supreme which was delicious. For desert I had the sticky toffee pudding which had a lovely rich toffee flavour to it with chewy and soft textures throughout, (although i could probably have used some more custard!). The fairy lights around the pub made it feel very warm and inviting and the staff were kind and friendly. Overall I very much enjoyed my visit here and will be coming back very soon.
