The Kings Arms is a traditional local pub just a stone’s throw from the sea front in the heart of Teignmouth on the south coast of Devon.
Serving a great range of real ales, ciders and ice-cold lagers, alongside cold home made bar snacks all day, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing drink in the sunny beer garden at the back or on the outside seating just by the front door. Alternatively, you can enjoy great music and great beer as well as our uniquely decorated interior indoors.
The Kings Arms is situated on the corner of French Street and Regent Gardens in the centre of Teignmouth, by the classic seaside spot and Victorian pier of Teignmouth Beach and just a two-minute walk from the railway station.
Open seven days a week, from 11am to midnight, our friendly pub offers regular live music and DJ sessions at the weekend (check our Facebook page for more details) along with a pool table and darts board.
Teignmouth itself is a beautiful seaside town on the South Devon Coast, with historic Georgian buildings, long beaches, and easy access to the stunning Dartmoor National Park.
Not far from Exeter and Torquay, Teignmouth is great for a family day trip thanks to the pier, lido, play park, crazy golf and skate park as well as sandy beaches and bustling town centre.

Old style pub with a pool table, darts board and a bar, it was very quiet when we went in but it was a wet November evening 🍻👍
Utterly disgusting! If you want to have fun….do NOT go into this pub! Playing pool, having a few drinks and having a good time is definitely not something encouraged in this place. Unwelcome, spoken to like something you’d wipe off your shoe is the thing. I’m guessing these people went to the Basil Fawlty school of hospitality! (Perhaps showing my age) This is the 2nd time and last time, me and my family will visit this pub.
First of all, I would like to clarify that we spend a lot of evenings here as locals and spend a lot of money for their slightly pricy drinks! We have had other problems with this pub before last night, well, bought a lot of drinks and played some pool and darts. In between waiting for goes on the table we did some silly little faces and doodles on the darts chalk board. We had a very grumpy bar tender come over and rub it off and walked off saying nothing to us. We thought it was a bit rude and drew a little face on their again, this is where the land lady came over rubbed it off and shouted at us for ‘wasting the chalk’. This is ridiculous as we have spent over £50 on drinks in our group and using a little bit of the £1 chalk they have out is nothing. We then got shouted at and got kicked out after that! The landlord and lady have always been very grumpy to us, but never enough to push me to write a review. Won’t be coming back anytime soon.

This was a lovely place we came across, lovely landlady and lovely staff very polite. loved a few drinks and a few games of pool b4 going for a meal, but after what we witnessed and heard on the 2nd night xmas eve we both decided to stay away ☹ both our daughters/ Grandaughter do home care and love there jobs and all clients I think you know what I'm onabout now.. apart from that you have a great place shame they spoilt it for us ☹ thank you to the lovely lady who served us she was so polite and friendly 👍🏻
