News Eve. Bar busy. Service prompt. Unfortunately the bar smelt of sick, and some of the cliental were doing more than drinking.
Its a shame, as over last 10 years we have visited the kings arms as a great place to pop in and feel welcome including at one time have breakfast. But despite the overhaul and I am assuming ownership things haven't improved. We popped in on the way home to be met with disdain recently. It was a disappointing reception that we will not be revisiting.
I just been once. I had very bad experience. It's seems that they cheaters, one amount they saying another amount they charge you. Be very careful when you using contacless payment.
Nothing wrong with The Kings Arms, they'd get higher stars because the place is a good town pub with many screens for the sport, a pool table and updated decor. Good staff also. But I'm an ale drinker, and there's no ale option. Shame.
Loved this place. Such a quaint little pub + absolutely spotless !! Considering it is such an old building. The toilets were so clean and fresh ( which you dont get in many pubs. The beer was great + the bar lady was so friendly x I was pleasantly surprised that they were taking the Covid 19 precautions very seriously. Plenty of soap in the toilets, hand sanitizer every where + lots of information on the importance of keeping hands clean + social distancing. We were also asked to give our details as we entered for track + trace. Well done to the manager + staff of this little pub. Keep up the good work x
