It’s not just the high standard and consistency of our food offering that’s priced with value in mind or our sensibly priced bar and wine tariffs, but also the very high standard of personal and friendly service that keep our customers coming back for more.
Michael (Head Chef) and Chris (Front of House Manager), who have both been delighting their guests for 14 years, together with the rest of their experienced and friendly team, look forward to extending you a very warm welcome.
Had big family dinner there sunday the service was excellent and the food what can I say was amazing will be back thank you
Grossly understaffed. Waited 1.5 hours from placing our order to being served and then one meal arrived 10 minutes after the other 5. Two waitresses did their best but were trying to serve a packed restaurant.
Had a shandy on Saturday around 14:00, it was quite busy and a very hot day. They have good range of seating outside with table service if required. £4.90 for the bitter shandy and £6.00 for a Guinness.
We had a lovely lunch. We both had chicken and leek pie, which was delicious, as was the mash, chips and veg. The starters were good, too. My brother stayed here for a couple of nights and the rooms are comfortable and private. He slept well. The staff were all friendly and helpful - and the parking is good, too! I would certainly visit again.
Booked the back room for my mums 60th surprise gathering and it was a fantastic venue. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout the day and the buffet was fantastic. We went back the following day for lunch and it was the best roast beef dinner I have had for years. Dessert was also great and the service was brilliant. Highly recommend for a gathering of 30 to 40 people or even for dinner or lunch. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day and we will be using them again. Great pub.
