Very noisy floorboards and zero sound proofing cause a difficult environment to sleep in. Small room sizes with the door by your head, make it feel as if someones about to come through the door. Staff are friendly and saving grace of this hotel is the breakfast they offer.

We enjoyed a nice stay at the Marine Hotel during the Christmas 2023 period. The hotel is located right on the sea front and we had lovely views across the water to wake up to. The communal areas of the hotel are very nice, the lounge, bar and restuarant were all very nicely appointed and quite buzzy and lively during our stay. Our room was nice but it felt like it was overdue a refurb, especially in the bathroom where the paint work and silicone was beginning to show signs of wear and tear. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, overall I would recommend the hotel but be warned the walk in to Whitstable is quite far!

Wonderful prompt staff made this a wonderful stay. There was a wedding on but bar some loud music it didn't affect us in the bar, restaurant or room service. Beautiful view from 1st floor balcony rooms. Rooms could do with TLC but good showers and comfy beds.

We cannot thank Nick and his team at the Marine Hotel enough for their fantastic service and ability to turn an Airbnb nightmare into a fantastic stay at Whitstable. They were truly excellent and the service they provided was unbeatable. The rooms were clean and well decorated, beds and pillows were very comfortable and they even left a little goody bag for our dog in the room. The bar and restaurant were nice and it was only short stroll to the beach. Takes about 15-20 minutes to walk into Whitstable. Overall a fantastic stay!

Our family met at the hotel for lunch (we didn't stay overnight). The location is very nice, at the top of the slopes overlooking the coast. The restaurant is at the back of the hotel in a very comfortable conservatory. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was quick (but not rushed). There was a good choice on the menu and the dishes were generous and tasted good. The restaurant is dog friendly.
