Lovely rustic pub great service with real ales home cooked food with generous portions and dog friendly, just watch your head as the beams are a little low. Beautiful village location

We came across this beautiful pub on a walk from the hop farm. Forgive me, for not remembering names, this place, the people that work here, provide a fantastic family atmosphere and service beyond ,and the most fabulous selection of food with excellent taste. Total value for money. We will most definitely be back here. Thank you.

A lovely country pub. Low beamed ceilings and an outside area to sit and have a drink. If you are going to eat there you must book first as it is very small. The menu is limited but what they do offer is well cooked. I had battered hake chios and peas. The batter was light and not grass and the chips were amazing - some of the best I've ever had. My husband had steak with a mushroom sauce which was very good. Again the dessert menu was limited but we had local ice cream which was delicious.

Great little pub by the river. We stopped by to get away from traffic and hoped to get food (a Thurs evening) but as with many places now no food during the week sadly. Enjoyed a couple of our favourite Harvey’s Best beers sitting outside and there was a nice vibe and fairly busy, haven’t been for a while but will come back soon hopefully for lunch.

A pint of prawns and a Cashel Blue please. What a beautiful period pub. Set besides the river way, the Man of Kent looks beautiful. Enter and duck, the low ceilings may be quirky, but they are all character. Something many modern pubs lack. Staff are salt of the earth and the locals are lovely. The menu was surprisingly modern, offering a summer excerpt with plenty of zingy Asian inspired dishes. There is always the traditional section to fall back on if you don’t feel adventurous. The food is superb, the half pint of prawns (I opted for a starter portion size) was sublime. So fresh and tactile. The cheese selection of the cheese board was fantastic. The creamiest cheeses I’ve ever tasted. A lovely pub packing plenty of character, beautiful views, lovely people and interesting pub food.
