A lovely meal out - food was great, service was good and price was extremely reasonable. Starters - pate and calamari Mains - smoked haddock mac and cheese with garlic bread ❤️ and pie of the day (chicken, bacon and leek)

Lovely lunch here in the pretty courtyard yesterday. My husband said that his burger was the best that he had had recently. My friend and I chose the pie of the day - chicken, ham and leek, which was absolutely full of meat. The waitresses were charming and very attentive to my dog which was nice. All in all, a great experience.

Went here on a recommend as a dog friendly place to get a good meal and it certainly lived up to expectations. What a great atmosphere, so welcoming, cross between a friendly pub and a fine dinning experience but without the fussiness. The menu is so varied, with different types of curries alongside steak and fish, with fabulous rustic chips. Portion size was very good that ensured value for money against the price tag. Highly recommended as place to visit in the quaint backstreets of Sandwich.

Delicious food and reasonably priced. This is a friendly little pub with a tasty traditional menu. The portions are huge, We had the pie which was a wedge from a large pie, rich and moist with just the right amount of meat and mushrooms. The mashed potatoes were buttery and the vegetables served separately were a great addition. Also extra gravy without having to ask. The only issue I had was being directed to a table by a back door when there were other free tables in much cosier spots. Needless to say I asked for one of those but did feel for the table next to the door as people were coming and going to drinking tables outside and it was a cool night. Other than that some missing meringue from the Eton mess which was quickly resolved caused a laugh with the staff and us so all good fun. Definitely recommended,we will be going back.

Oh wow what a beautiful place to meet and eat. The staff were so polite and friendly and they made you feel totally welcome. It had a log burning fire which was a really welcomed part of our visit. The food was superb, fresh, hot and looked to nice to eat all home cooking aswell which was a bonus. They was doing 1 course for £12, 2 courses for £14, & 3 courses for £17 a really good deal & well worth the visit We were little piglets on this visit. We had the Pate, the Soup of the day & the Mushrooms for starters. Sorry no pictures tucked in to quick. For mains we had, the Halibut, the Forerib, & the Pie of the day. For the Deserts we had, Red Velvet Cheesecake & Lemon Cheesecake Please give this beautiful place a call and book we felt totally comfortable and safe especially with the present circumstances
