The cutlery was dirty and the staff were unwelcoming. The seating was cramped and the line for the carvery very slow. Some of the flavours on the drink machine were unavailable. We asked for a quiet spot but were given a small table sandwiched uncomfortably close between two other tables. The food was nice though.
Lovely serving staff, both behind the carvery counter and also the waitress. The food was delicious. However, our visit today was marred by all the flies! We were surrounded by them and could see other customers swatting them away too. We will think twice before booking next time. A real shame as the staff are so hard-working and lovely
Know exactly what you're going to get with the food, always great. The app has lots of offers, so worth downloading, kids ate for a quid, they also they are most recognisable chain on the dining out gift cards. Server made splitting the bill across party a bit harder than it really needed to be, but other than that service was fine. Personally I think they should just employ a pay before system and just bring ticket up, as everyone always gets a carvery anyway, rather than counting plates at the end and trying to wave busy servers down which takes ages as always busy. Overall decent meal, was Christmas get together for big family, so was happy to sacrifice a bit of atmosphere for brilliant value and convenience.
It was very busy in the run up to Christmas as expected, but the staff were coping well and Shelly was very nice and attentive . The carvery was good , meat was tender and everything was replenished regularly, some veg was a bit overcooked but that is standard for a carvery where food is kept hot. Roast potatoes were pretty nice which is always a big deal. Overall, an enjoyable family meal made even better by Shelly, our waitress who was friendly and welcoming.
Absolutely rank. Food tasted like soap. Potatoes were green. Stuffing was grim. Regular visitors however we shall not be coming back.
