A proper BOOZER with sport, music, entertainment, singing, dancing and a lot of being merry !!!!!
This pub lies just off the High Street and gets very busy when live football matches are shown. Dark walls and wooden fittings indicate its early heritage. It has an upstairs room for meetings and buffets. Children are allowed in the bar before 3pm. There is a small outside drinking/smoking area below attractive hanging baskets.
They have Timothy Taylor on draught, nice pint and excellent value. Relatively busy we enjoyed our pint.
If you like larger louts and shouty males, this be perfect for you. As a female I felt rather at odds with the atmosphere. There are better pubs around! Avoid
Proper pub to watch the footy at. Great prices and excellent service. Good number of screens and it gets busy but not uncomfortably so - atmosphere is good for the big games.
Nicely furnished and decorated pub. Very clean and well kept - even the gents toilets! Two cask beers available when I visited and a wide range of other drinks. The prices were amazingly low. Very friendly owners and bar staff. Good to see a pub preserving two darts boards. I was here during the day. Looks like it's very lively in the evening. I'll have to return at some point to try the food.
Recently refurbished, this pub offers a welcoming atmosphere with a lively crowd of regulars. Ale and a packet of flakies costing a very reasonably £3.80. They are dog friendly and were happy to supply some water for the little one. Highly recommend if you want a real pub experience with great music in a clean and comfortable environment.
