The Railway Tavern has been under new management since November 2012 and has endeavoured to make itself a pub worth visiting and revisiting.
The Railway Tavern is proud to have real ale now on tap kept to a very high standard which complements our lovely log fire well on those colder nights. Alternatively if you really need to warm up we offer a selection of teas and coffee.
We have an outside patio area for the warmer months of the year and the pub itself is dog and family friendly. The Railway Tavern also offers a parking area for customers to use.
At weekends we aim to have a mixture of live bands playing anything from soft rock to blues as well as a fantastic open mic night on the last Tuesday of every month.
We have a large room around the back of the bar which can be used as a function room but also serves as a dining area for when our food option gets underway.

Just had an amazing roast. Best meal out for a long time. Gammon for me. Lamb shank for hubby. Will return for sure
Had family visiting today so suggested we try the Sunday Lunch at Railway Tavern in Longfield. I can honestly say it was absolutely gorgeous. So refreshing to have proper home cooked food... a Sunday roast just like you remember as a child. All fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. My 3 children loved their dinners too... ate the lot... which is a rarity!! Staff are so very welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much to ask for. Really attentive and helpful. Will definitely be coming back!!!
This has improved no end since the refurb. Really nice food (Sunday roast) and good service. Prices are reasonable and a good selection of beers and ales. The atmosphere was still flat. To be fair there was a football game on and this impacts the seating options as most are under the TV. So much better.
Dropped in for lunch one Tuesday afternoon. Nice cold shandy and a superb chicken burger and chips to die for. Great service from the staff - especially the lady behind the bar, Sue I think her name is. Highly recommended, will be back soon.
Took my Mum and sister for an early Mother's day afternoon tea. After a very disappointing experience elsewhere, last year, this was everything we wanted it to be. Delicious sandwiches, fresh warm scones, beautifully light with very good portions of jam and clotted cream; a variety of dainty cakes that melted in the mouth and pot fulls of hot, flavoursome tea. The service was excellent, timed so we didn't feel rushed but didn't feel neglected. Better than top hotels in London and a very reasonable price. Will definitely be going back. No food in the photo coz we had eaten it all 😄
