If I could give zero stars, I would. We popped in for a drink at 4 pm. on a Saturday afternoon. My mum is in her mid 70's, my brothers and their partners are in their late 40s / 50s and me and my partner are also in or very late 40s / 50s just to set the scene a little. We also had my 17 year old daughter with us who is 18 in 2 months' time. So we went to the bar and started ordering drinks, and almost at the end, I asked my daughter if she wanted a coke or a J20. It was at this point that the bar troll asked my daughter for I'd, so I enquired as to why she needed id to have a glass off coke. She replied because if she is under 18, she can't be in that bar. She would have to go into the back bar. To which I replied OK that's fine we will go in there then, only to be told by the bar troll that you can't do that because it's fully booked.so I asked where the signs about this stupid policy are before we ordered the drinks, and where we should go to drink them, at which point she shrugged her shoulders and just stood there. I have never been in a less welcoming place ever and will encourage as many people as possible to never go there. Had it been 7 pm I could possibly understand if she had been a screaming 8 year old. But at 4 pm I the afternoon at almost 18 it's absolutely pathetic.

Been a few times and it’s always been pleasant however during my last visit, Friday 27th Oct - there was too much seasoning on the salt and pepper fries (enough so that I was able to create a pile and the end of my meal) and the chicken was raw so wasn’t eaten - other family members had similar issues with their meals.

Hadn't been here for years and glad we picked this place as the food was really nice. As far as pub food goes it was well cooked, I had the mixed grill and the steak came out perfectly rare. It was quite busy but seemed to all running smoothly and guests were served pretty quickly with a conveyor belt consistency. I have a picky ten year old who devoured the Mac and cheese (impressive anywhere if he eats a lot). Customer service was decent but can't say there was anything that stood out as exceptional or in the realms of excellence but good I think fairly sums it up. Lacks a good front of house person if anything, someone to guide customers / manage diners etc. Atmosphere wasn't great but the venue can only control so much. Parents not parenting their kids and lots of screams and loud outbursts did affect the atmosphere to some extent. As a parent I don't feel bad for saying this as manners and respect seemed to of failed with the family we were sat opposite to. The outdoor area looks like a great spot for days with better weather and had a few heated seating areas / huts for the colder evenings as well as an outdoor bar area for a quicker service . I'll definitely return here for the garden next summer if not before. Nice and clean on the whole, can't complain about plates , glasses or cutlery or any horizontal surface but lots of food marks on the wood panelling next to the tables that could do with a clean. For somewhere that seems pretty decent otherwise it is a bit of a letdown that could easily be got on top of with a quick wipe up. I'll definitely return here in future and would recommend to anyone looking for a decent steak and a pint or just a bit of your typical pub grub.

Staff were lovely, food 🫤, rather disappointing, but they're only working with what they have, so can't blame the chef, think hungry house should leave the jerk chicken to the Jamaicans chicken was far from any jerk flavour and very dry, wings were the same style as everything else except with a different sauce on, one dipping sauce that came with the jerk dish tasted like custard and was inedible. The rice had way to many peas in and tasted like it had been over cooked, corn on the cob was good tho, and the tandoori sizzler aside from the salad looking like it had seen better days was OK, overall its a lovely pub with a lovely beer garden nice atmosphere staff were so friendly, my partner didn't like to say the food wasn't good as he felt bad 😂, anyway we would return but stick to the mixed grill in future, worth a visit for sports as they have a big screen TV outside aswell, prices were very reasonable also.

Visited for the first time with my friend today for a cheeky bottle of Prosecco and a sharing platter! Staff were very attentive, polite and we had the best time! Good grub also and reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend!
