Booked a pitch for overnight stay. Upon arrival the place was closed so had to phone. Pub was closed for the season but we didn't know. Pitches were still open. Nothing in the area shopwise. Pitch was OK with electric and clean showers but pricey
Booked in with our motorhome last night, no food because of a chef shortage but the pitch was good and the facilities perfectly acceptable. The welcome and hospitality was what makes the place. James and Holly are excellent hosts and the locals are friendly and good company!
A huge thank you to the Plough and Harrow team for a perfect stay before our ferry crossing. Lovely pub and camping pitches, and the team even fed us great food even though we arrived after the kitchen had closed. Definitely will stay again!
We had a lovely overnight stay in one of The Plough and Harrow's Glamping pods, which provided a wonderful glamping experience. The pod was clean and cozy, creating a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. However, we were a little let down to discover that the pub stopped serving food after 16:00 on Sunday. It would have been helpful to receive a heads up as we were looking forward to a traditional Sunday roast.
We booked this place as a quick (and cheap) stop over on our way to the ferry at Dover and have accidentally stumbled upon an absolute gem! The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the pub is lovely and to top it off the food is the best we’ve had in ages! The site is so tranquil and ideally situated. We stayed in a pod which was fabulous for a family of 4, small, cosy and had everything we needed - lovely bathroom with amazing shower, little kitchenette and super comfy beds. The icing on the cake for us was that on a Sunday evening a local band come and play a few tunes in the beer garden. Lovely way to end a lovely day as the sun was setting. Can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back!
