Great pub/ restaurant very helpful and friendly staff, very generous portions, food was served in good time and piping hot, opted for the Roast dinner, chose the vegetarian option (meat free burger and usual roast trimmings). All tasted great. Plenty of fabulous puddings available, but didn't opt for one myself. Great children's menu. Food was reasonably priced and will definitely visit again.

Great place to stop for coffee while walking the coast path. Enjoyed a coffee and small pastry at one of the outside tables looking across Kingsgate Bay. Good value refreshments, attentive staff and a great setting.

Stumbled on this pub on our walk, decided to stop for a drink and ended up staying for some food. Loved the outdoor seating and you can't beat the view of the Kingsgate Bay & the castle. The service was quick, friendly and very attentive. The food was very delicious, they had my favourite as specials, whitebait and tempura prawns. I wasn't a big fan of the Marie rose sauce, but you can't go wrong with the sweet chilli sauce. My boyfriend had the stilton & broccoli pasta, which was tasty, could have done with a pinch more seasoning. We got some cheesy chips which we dipped in the pasta sauce, which was rich.

They serving drinks before 12, but for food you need wait to 12 noon. However, it is worth waiting for your food, with a coffee or a cold "drink with foam". The portions are huge and the food is delicious. Parking, however, is £10 "per day", try to say you are going to a restaurant. apparently then the parking is paid by the restaurant. There are places for the disabled. If you are allergic to fur, take a place inside the premises, not outside. On the terrace you can smoke and there are water bowls for dogs. Great, but my allergy came right away. Point for taking care of pets and smokers. It would be useful to allocate 1/3 of the terrace for those allergic to smoke and fur. I recommend a visit to this place. And one more thing. There was no longer atolija on the booking site, but I managed to find it after arriving in the wild. try. it's worth it.
