Bar staff friendly but that’s where it ends. Would imagine it’s a good time for young people but an uneasy atmosphere for anyone over the age of 22. Seems to be a hotspot for ages 17-21, saw bartender funnelling Smirnoff vodka into AU bottles, security guard sitting down vaping, toilets very similar to prison with no working locks on any cubicle doors. Overpriced drinks and manager(?) seems a bit greasy talking to and hugging all the kids going in. Wouldn’t return here if i was paid.

Great pub to for a night out. Banging music from garage house dance, etc. They also have a cocktail bar separate from the main bar and also a bar outside in the garden/ smoking area. All the staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend 👌

Bit of a run down saw dust pub now. A place for the younger generation to hang out after 10pm. A big selection of drink choices and some offers available but not as good as they used to be. Bar staff are nice when treated with respect.

Absolutely vile vile place and vile owner, who physically assaulted my friend, grabbing her by the throat. All of this because of her pulling a funny face as a harmless joke. Due to his position in the business, the bouncers were ordered to kick them out and then bar them unnecessarily for 4 years. Entirely unjust and completely disgusting as they did nothing wrong, they were just having a bit of a laugh. WHY ON EARTH would you physically assault someone, over such a stupid thing, and especially in your establishment. Not even to mention the fact that it was an older man attacking a younger woman. Girls, stay clear of it, don’t give your money to this idiot. Do not own a club if you can’t deal with the public. Oh also, it’s not a sodding club, it’s a pub that you pay entry for.

I went to the Dolphin (somewhere I’ve been for the last 6 years) with my brother and his girlfriend. As a joke, we were pulling funny faces to each other, and someone behind us came over while we were doing so. The next minute, he had me in a chokehold and was shouting at me. We tried to explain to the bouncers what happened, but because he was the owner they took his word and we were kicked out immediately. This was extremely distressing as someone who suffers with anxiety, and we felt powerless despite doing nothing wrong. The owner clearly has some ego issues who enjoys harassing women for anyone considering visiting. Will be taking further.
