Always a great pub Traditional down to the carpets Friendly staff and Nigel the manager will do anything to make you welcome. Highly recommended for a type of bar that's sadly disappearing in this country Guest ale's, home cooked food and a wide range of liqueurs and spirits to feed your eyes on. Walkers by welcome, does not tolerate trouble so feel safe. Jasen
Lovely owners! Come here every couple of months to catch-up with some friends on the Tuesday quiz nights. This is my source of education about the British culture of the previous generation. Always fun even though we come last everytime we play!
We live near and we are glad to be able to return to drinking in our local again. The landlord is always friendly when in the pub and Nigel is always welcoming and its great to see what they have done to the place during lockdown. We are enjoying another evening drinking in the garden. Would recommend this pub to friends.
