Nice friendly pub serving good food! Staff very good and attentive
Second time we've been here for sunday dinner. Great food again. Very busy, but that's because it's so good. Empty plates all round.
Wasn't busy for diners but took 1hr 15mins to get 4 meals. When they come, the portions were generous, but a little overcooked. It was however tasty enough. There was no apology for the delay. The place needed a deep clean, bar stools had dust all over them. It was all a little shabby since the last time we went. Such a shame as it used to be a great place to go for a meal. We won't be back.
Nice ploughman's for lunch after walking in the woods. Good range of beers. (Bit of a terrible photo but by the time I'd noticed, I'd already eaten it all..) Seemed popular with locals which is a good sign. Parking available
Absolutely amazing food, great menu with lots of options to suit all tastes and sensible prices, plus very friendly bar staff, you will not be disappointed Next visit and had probably tge BEST roast dinner in the county, maybe the whole country! Roast potatoes, new potatoes roast parsnips. Cabbage. Carrots, peas, cauliflower, thick rich gravy and a choice of single or mixed meats, so so good, and too much u need to do the American thing and ask for a box to take the extra food home for the next day.
