Don't stop here for coffee unless you like it not even luke warm. We had a coffee from our flask later in the afternoon and after 5 hours it was about 40 degrees warmer than what we had at the pub
Went for the Sunday roast yesterday and it was absolutely fantastic! Staff were so welcoming and friendly and very attentive nothing was too much trouble for them! I had the beef roast and it was cooked lovely!!! Yorkshire puddings were homemade and tasted lovely, I also had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and that tasted amazing! I honestly couldn’t fault our visit! The new chefs are doing an amazing job and can’t wait to come back again to try more of the new menu!!
A little disappointed as there was 18/19 of us and some had completely finished their roast before some even got theirs. Had to ask for more salt n pepper and condiments. Some had already finished 😕 Puddings were disappointing as ran out of certain ones and one guy ordered and never even got one. Real shame, as first time there.
A beautiful out of the way country pub in a tranquil setting. Very welcoming and attentive staff, in particular Eion the barman. Weekly punch freshly made on offer in the summer and a special Canterbury IPA for £2.50 a pint! Good selection of food on the menu. Will definitely visit again when next in the area.
Recent new ownership so give it time to improve. Menu not varied enough and way over priced. Had 4 meals there but only one was acceptable. One of my main courses was served in a cereal bowl... 🙄...sausage and mash, bad move! Coffee is bitter. No menu specials available. No special offers for oap's. All hard chair seating, no comfort. Staff very friendly. Another 6 months might improve things but at the moment I don't intend to eat there again until it changes.
