A very chilled out pub that used to be a bank with upstairs seating for 50 plus people and a small but nice beer garden for around 25 people. Great friendly service from the crew and very nice food with an amazing Sunday roast dinner and good variety on the menu. Prices are around average for the Victoria/Westminster area. Lots of different Beers, wines and ales. 241 cocktails on Saturday from 5 to 9 are very popular. Close to Victoria station. Recommended for a drink or a meal.
Two days after Christmas, we were expecting the place to be rammed, but it was very quiet - which we loved! The service was excellent with very friendly staff, the chips were really good, too. A couple of people had recommended The Jugged Hare as a place to get a really good pie - that's why we went there. So, we were generally disappointed with both the chicken pie and the steak, ale and mushroom pie. They were both tasty and edible, but, in all, just above average. We wanted a little more meat, perhaps in chunks and a little less gooey filling - a little jug of gravy on the side would be nice. Not bad value, for London - I think maybe our expectations were too high and, if we visit again, maybe our perceptions will be more positive.
Great pub not too far from Victoria station and Theatre's. Nice pub to relax in and has a couple of TV screens to watch sporting events. It's nice and cosy in the winter. They have a good selection of beers, cocktails, spirits and wine. Staff are lovely so friendly and welcoming and the food is great here too. They have a really good Sunday roast here and well worth they money. They also have a beer garden if you want to sit outside. It is also a dog friendly pub The staff here are amazing. I accidentally left my rucksack behind and they were very kind to keep it safe for me to collect the following day. Nothing was missing
Staff here were friendly and welcoming. Came here for a roast dinner and was not disappointed it was delicious. Hope to come back again when I'm back in the area
I brought a voucher for the fish and chips so figured why not go try it. The pub had a nice atmosphere and even a beer garden in the back. The fish and chips were average but the service and beer was what made a difference. I heard they have a decent Sunday Roast too.
