Lots of parking near by, near the beach, often go for breakfast and get the American style pancakes. Really good price. Unlimited refill on hot drinks
Excellent throughout. Room we was in had a skylight, no windows but didn't spoil the stay. Rooms clean. Fire alarm went off in the morning just as we received breakfast so we had to vacate the premises. The management brought us a fresh breakfast, remade. All in all excellent.
All round good place for accom. & food. Simple,straightforward check in (at the bar !) which seems busy at weekends, with decent drink prices. ( Wotherspoons) Larger than average rooms. Excellent breakfast in dining area with real fire feature. Recommended.
First time staying in a Wetherspoons hotel and the rooms were really nice and it was great on price for the night. Very convenient as it is roughly a minute walk from the local railway station as well as the sea, with a good view of the castle. The only thing that ruined the experience was the food. The food was cold and burnt on the pizza and garlic pizza bread. I ordered 10 chicken bites but they only serve 8 in the basket (other Spoons do it as well so it seems to be a trend), and the breakfast was badly burnt as well. The bacon and toast was cremated - and the baked beans couldn’t save it. The rooms were great and had really good soundproofing - we visited on a Saturday night. The waiting staff were all good and I had no issue with the service. Just the food. It’s the least favourite Wetherspoons I’ve been to but I’ll more than likely be back in the future to give it another try.
Had a family meal Sunday afternoon. The pub was busy, but the service was quick and efficient. Two of us had the fish and chips and two beef burgers. Both meals were very good but mine could have been a little hotter.
