The John O’Gaunt Inn is a traditional country pub, situated in Horsebridge, in the heart of the English countryside. We are ideally located between Stockbridge, Kings Somborne and Romsey, less than 200m from the well known cycling and walking Test Way.
We provide a friendly welcome to our locals, regulars and visitors providing an excellent range of cask ale, lager, cider, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Our popular Head Chef Lee provides a varied seasonal Menu, freshly prepared from locally sourced and in many cases locally produced ingredients.

This is definitely a pub to visit! Fantastic beers, great atmosphere, lovely staff who coped with the numbers & difficulties with a smile and great walking/running countryside! Thanks Chris, we'll be back!
Lovely little pub. Dog and walker friendly. The menu is simple but the food is excellent, staff are friendly and helpful. They also have doggy icecream which went down a treat with our two dogs. Well worth a stop in and perfect for lunch mid-walk.
Stopped in for lunch today. Interior looks cosy, outside had large covered area which was welcome on a sunny day but I think they could do more in terms of appearance. Having said that, we both ordered a "doorstop sandwich" and thoroughly enjoyed them. Lovely fresh ingredients, tasty and well presented. Definitely worth another visit.
First time in the village, happen to come across this lovely pub, amazing portion sizing and good pricing,very helpful staff on what to order, i had the halloumi burger my partner had the beef burger and they were both amazing, we will be back very soon
Very friendly, good ales, wonderful roast. Not too gentrified, but just the right mix of locals, walkers, fishermen and tourists. A terrific pub.
