One of the best coffees in Oxford, in addition to being a great cocktail bar. The bar staff really know what they're talking about. The only downside is that the music is often too loud.
A great place for any time of the day! Fantastic coffee for the afternoon, a good selection of cocktails and drinks for the evening and tasty food. There's lots of seating, extremely friendly staff and good music. Inside is a really nice place to sit, there is a small area out back but not the best place to catch the sun. Highly recommended!
The service was lacklustre at best. It appeared that only one "chef" was in the kitchen and dishes were coming out one by one. It took nearly an hour to get our food. Our three dishes came out one by one with 15 minutes between each. A dish for another table sat for at least 5 minutes before a "waiter" came to pick it up. The chicken and waffles are nice, but nowhere near as good as the American originals. The bagels were nice but were NOT toasted! Who doesn't toast a bagel. The Americano coffee was weak and had a limescale film on the top. The latte was nice, but very small. Had to ask twice for water. Took 10 minutes to pay the bill because they were so disorganised. The place was quiet when we arrived and the service was still slow. The place picked up and got livelier but nowhere near as busy as the staff made out. All in all, the food was OK but little things made the whole experience average at best.
Different, quirky and interesting. This place is definitely worth checking out. Some of the best cocktails in Oxford and delicious food all at a reasonable price. Happy hour is always worth a trip down too! Enjoy!
Good drinks and nice atmosphere. Quite modest selection of beer, and the staff it not the friendliest I have encountered, but worth a visit. Happy hour 5-7 sunday-thursday, which is nice.
