The circus is back in town, and it’s come to Deptford!

Formerly known as the Job Centre, we have recently undergone a refurb and reopened as Jam Circus.

With an ode to the circus and a few nods to the original Jam Circus that once resided in Brockley, the vintage wallpaper, mid-century modern furniture and deliciously jammy colours on the walls will have you in retro shabby chic heaven and craving raspberry jam on toast all at once.

It's a kind of hipster bar, but not really pretentious. You can get cocktails and beers here. No djs or music when we visited on a Saturday late evening (around 1030pm) in mid-Jan. Toilets are up the stairs. We didn't eat here, but apparently they do a Sunday roast with veg. Some of the food like cheese puffs and langos that people mention I think hark back to when Jam Circus was the Jobcentre and possibly there was a different chef as they don't exist anymore. Also we didn't see it, but apparently there's a garden at the back.

Had a lovely night here the other night. I have to say I love a flavoured margarita and as soon as I mentioned this to the bar staff they offered me various flavour options. I ended up with a peach and passion fruit margarita and it was delicious!! Will definitely be back. Thanks

Lovely and relaxing atmosphere. I’m a veggie and really enjoyed the burger I had. The tater tots were sensational. Bar staff friendly and made sure I was looked after well.

Cozy and spacious local pub with lots of character. Came for a pre-dinner drink with a few friends. A few good craft beers on draught and also plenty of spirits and cocktails. Pints are around the 5.50£ mark.. cheaper than central London for sure! The burgers looked fantastic even though I didn’t have a chance to try one… I shall come back for one! There is plenty of seated space and some outdoor beer garden space too in the back. Staff seamed cool and there were lots of locals. Generally a cool young environment with a good warm vibe to it.

Nice bar with decent food and drink. Real ales, craft beers and lagers available on draught. Mix of pub food like sausage& mash and burgers. Prices are very good for London, with some beers under £4 and meals under £10. Decor is simple but nice. Bar is dog friendly. Recommended.
