Following many years of culinary exploration and experimentation that has taken us on gastronomic journeys far and wide, this August we finally showcase our revelations and bring you, the JAM JAR.
This quirky yet homely food and drink venue is what Jesmond has been waiting for. Our transient menu built around fresh, locally-sourced produce paired with creative cocktails, craft beers, continental lagers and rare liquors will breathe a breath of fresh air into your mundane rituals.
Experienced chefs showcase the very best of quintessential English comfort food and all-American classics, championing the warming nostalgia of home-cooked food and a desire for the simpler pleasures in life.
Expect British classics such as traditional fish and chips, homemade pies, and afternoon tea combined with transatlantic favorites such as fried chicken, buttermilk pancakes and not to mention the best burgers in town.
The JAM JAR is housed within a contemporary space inspired by industry but with its feet firmly in the comfortable and ambient. It is set to be a celebration of the unpretentious and wholesome, the soulful and utterly charming. The JAM JAR has arrived.
We are open 7 days a week, Monday through to Sunday from 9am to Midnight.

Its Dog Friendly💜 A very Friendly place, just took a bit time for the food to come. The Benedict is a bit lack of favor can only taste the bacon, but i will come back for the Burger!! 🍔🍔
Ali was fantastic serving us with our bottomless brunch today! Always made sure we were topped us, nothing was too much trouble and even a great group photographer for our annual Christmas girls day out. Thanks for a great afternoon :)
A nice chilled Sunday evening with stunning food. The loaded waffle fries were scrumptious and such great value for money. Thanku!
Workers were super super friendly - best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had (only had four but wins a win) and have us some free desert! Legends. As I’m writing this review we just offered a free round of drinks because our food was slightly delayed. Smashhhhhh
The staff were really kind and attentive. Me and my boyfriend order starters and mains as well as cocktails. The cocktail list was really good with a lot of variety. The starters were the best part (we had the chicken strips and deep fried Camembert). Mains were good but nothing compared to the starters. Would definitely go back but for a selection of the starters in stead of a main meal :)
