Crofton Park Tavern, a local Brockley pub, provides the perfect spot from lunch, dinner & drinks to everything in between.
The service is good.The roast beef was delicious (Sunday lunch). I really enjoyed the vegetables. My colleague has a burger that was OK, but not overly exciting. The lemon posset was really good.
We came here for a midweek family lunch, 11 of us, having just been to a service at the Honor Oak Crematorium. We were all feeling a little fragile, the staff and kitchen couldn't have been nicer. Our youngest member, 3, was served almost instantly - a great help. All the food was so delicious and they have a good beer selection too - I had the Battersea IPA.
We settled in for a roast, with our dog, hugely friendly and welcoming staff, great vibe and options of seating. Food was great. We'll be back
Overall was a good experience. The only inconvenience was it took a while to initially be served and had to go to the bar to request for the table to be cleaned and to get a menu. Starters: We had the calamari and the buttermilk chicken to start which were nice however the calamari was a tad over fried. Mains: We both had the beef Sunday roast which was lovely. One of the best Sunday roasts I have had in a while. The beef was a bit fatty but some people prefer that. Desert: We were recommended the molten chocolate which we shared and it was amazing! Would definitely recommend if you are local and looking for a Sunday roast to enjoy. We will be coming back again for the roast.
Visited Crofton Park Tavern on a bit of a whim with some visitors from out-of-town, and my girlfriend and I both agreed that it was the best Sunday roast we've had so far in London. We went for the chicken and the pork, both of which were amazing - there was actually a lot more chicken than you would get at many other spots which was great. I would also thoroughly recommend leaving enough space for the cookie dough desert, this was incredible. Great selection of drinks with some local beers on tap - I'm really excited to come back and try the regular menu soon!
