Freddy the Landlord and Chef, took over in September 2018, and hasn’t stopped trying to benefit the locals and visitors. An ever changing menu of freshly sourced local ingredients, and fish from his home in Devon, get turned into mouth watering dishes, which are extremely special on the monthly Diners Club.

Poor communication. We turned up for an event which was published on their website and Facebook page however when we arrived everything was locked. If it was cancelled it was not communicated via Facebook or their website. No messages on their door either. Wish I could have attended to leave a better review
Didn't have ANY red wine. Didn't have the meal we wanted. My wife had the tasteless sausage and mash in the end, which wasn't what she wanted and I had one of the toughest steaks I had ever hsd in a restaraunt. Sarcastic landlord who was more interested in looking after his noisey mates. Cold and uncomfortable.
Lovely traditional inn with a wealth of character and great selection of drinks & food. Everything served with love and passion Enjoyable visit, will return!
Freddy makes sure everyone walking through the door receives a warm welcome, friendly service and the most amazing roast dinner! We love to visit this Wiltshire gem and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy a classic British country pub.
Fantastic! Went yesterday for a drink and booked in for Sunday lunch today. Service was great but, the food was even better. Good value for money, will definitely be back... don't miss it.
