We believe that a good pub should be the cornerstone of any local community. All Saints Road has seen significant change over the past century, and The Pelican has been witness to it all. We aim to be a true part of the community around us, not simply by being a place to eat & drink, but by investing in projects and causes close to our hearts.
Focusing on local producers, who use sustainable production methods, is what we are all about. We understand the importance of carefully selecting our suppliers and evaluating how these decisions impact our footprint. We work with Paddock Farm and Whittington Lodge Farm who promote biodiversity and centre around regenerative farming.
A major component of hospitality has, and always should be, a sense of fun. As we re-establish ourselves as a neighbourhood staple, The Pelican hopes to be known as a place to have a good time. From upbeat live music nights, to a lazy Sunday movie in the Pelican Room, we aim to cater for all.

Fantastic and attentive wait staff. Food was very tasty. Entrance was confusing with a large line of people who hadn't made a reservation. Both myself and my friend waited in this line for a few mins before realising it wasn't for those with a booking. Was heaving inside at the bar, but comfortably full downstairs in the dining space. Would definitely go again.
I am sure that if you are Googling this place, you are likely to have heard of/been recommended it already. A rare find with such excellent cuisine in a pub that has more of a restaurant feel. The food is outstanding, far more varied than you would typically expect of a pub but with how difficult it is to get a table, it is no surprise that this place is something special.
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. We were a table of 5 and had a perfect table by the fire. Emily was amazing and the star of the show - took great care of us all evening and was so attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Would highly recommend the oysters and langoustines for starters - and the Duck or Turkey & Bacon pie for mains. For the table the Brussels sprouts and pumpkin dishes are a must. We ended the night with a flat white martini and will spend the Christmas holidays trying to recreate!! 10/10
Food was disappointing but the staff was very nice! Ideas where there but no salt in any of the dishes and overall quiet flavourless. Like the leak needed to be cooked more and needed more sauce as it was dry. The pumpkin was just on top of some yogurt sauce that could have been seasoned, added some oil, herbs…etc The pie is good, just missing some salt. Dessert was alright. I think I might have gone on the day when the chef wasn’t there and someone in the kitchen was trying their best lol
Outstanding food, top service and a very cool vibe - the lobster pie is phenomenal and all other dishes (especially the strawberry dessert and the chips) were really delicious. Service is quite attentive and supportive - we had a small bug in one of our dishes, and our server immediately replaced it and took a number of drinks / food items off our final bill. Drinks are solid and they have a great wine selection. Love the vibe and the buzz of the restaurant. Can’t wait to be back!
