The Buddle Smuggler's Inn is a 16th century cliff top freehouse pub and restaurant set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with fine views across The English Channel – great for walkers and nature lovers… follow the path opposite down to the St Catherine's Lighthouse! Noted for real ales, extensive menu including homemade dishes and specialties.
A gorgeous country pub overlooking the sea. The smell of authentic pub, beer and food cooking was alluring and will surely be back to sample the food. Settled for a pint of cider and crisps in the sun and beer garden. Fantastic village, and walks to keep anyone occupied for a day or two.
A beautiful place to rest in Niton for a long summer evening. Outdoor settings were comfortable and the town is endearing and aesthetic. Careful of your footing on the floor, but I wouldn't change it! I ordered the steak, and it was just OK. Pricey and not a great cut. Thin and overcooked. Satisfying nonetheless!
4 of us dropped in without a booking just as the heavens opened 😱 So glad we did! Staff very friendly & helpful, local Smugglers ale nice and food all very tasty. Good to see it doing so well 😎👍 Thanks!!
The Buddle Inn has got to be my favourite place to eat on the island. My first time there I had the crab Mac n cheese which was absolutely delightful. This time around only the Sunday menu was available, but we made do with spaghetti bolognaise and a vegan strudel. The staff is always lovely, and the venue itself is very inviting, with a nice outdoor area at the front. Big fan of the wallpaper!
Old traditional pub. Very friendly staff. Good middle of the road. Lots of fish on the specials board which were good quality. Most dishes could do with more sauce as they were a little dry. Curry was a little bland and needed some more spice. Kids meals good with good selection. Kids ice cream was top class wit selection of sauce, sprinkles and marshmallows. All in all a meal.
