Can't comment on the rooms as we only stopped by for food and drink. The place was busy but service, speed and quality were all bang on for a table of 7. Sat outside under the heater looking over the sea. We were recommended from a local cafe that couldn't fit us in. Definitely go again! Thanks Steamer Inn 🍻
Absolutely love this place. Phoned on the off chance to see the availability of a table. Staff was so amazing and made a table available for us. Food just delicious as ever. Staff so friendly and welcoming. The only sad thing I can say was unfortunately was we were going to stay for the live music group we saw who were playing, but felt very uncomfortable when we kept overhearing the lady who was supporting the band, saying we clearly were in her way and that she wanted our table and couldn't wait for for us to leave. She repeated this several times to several people. So we left. Apart from this wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Steamer to anyone. It's the one place we always go to when we visit the IOW
Had a wonderful time with the family here. Great food food particularly the squid, the best on the island! The staff, Clive in particular were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Clive took the time to explain special drinks and sights to us and was very helpful. Will definitely be back
We visited for a drink and the staff were so welcoming and child friendly we returned for a full dinner later in the week. The food was amazing and portions massive. Their kids menu had a lot of choices and the pub and staff are very dog friendly too. Would recommend anyone coming to Shanklin to visit here.
We only had food here when we were on our holiday but after the first night that we went we came back every other night as the food and service were just amazing! Two of the nights I had the macaroni cheese which was creamy and delicious. The third night I had scampi and chips which were perfectly cooked and plentiful in size. My family also very much enjoyed their meals. Although there was a small wait to get a table, it was definitely worth it when we got in with the beautiful decor inside and the amazing views of the sea when sat outside. We will definitely be going back when we return to the island.
