Had a lovely and tasty beyond meat burger for 2. Pub is in a picturesque and remote setting directly on the River Medina
We Parked up at Island Harbour and walked our dog along the river to the Folly. It's an easy walk and just long enough for Shelby our Labrador to burn off some energy so that we can sit and enjoy a coffee or as on this occasion a meal on the terrace. The meals are good and Shelby had a sausage and a few chips. I had a burger and Lee had the salmon fish cakes both excellent, served by attentive staff
We were looking for a pub with a view - the Folly Inn did not disappoint. What a glorious setting. The staff ensured our whole experience was enjoyable, from the quick phone call checking whether we needed to book a table, to the welcome and table service after we’d ordered our food. The two starters and sharing platter were served in good time and were all excellent. The chips were great! We felt the prices were reasonable and will definitely return.
My husband and I found this place completely by accident but so glad we did. Big car park and absolutely stunning views from inside or out. We spent a lovely 2.5hrs over lunch on the terrace watching the boats and people coming and going. The wildlife was great too. We watched Egrets catching little silver fish just over the wall as the tide came in. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The service between courses was a little slow but it was busy so understandable. The food was very nice only dropping a star as both of us ordered chicken (different dishes) and found it a little over cooked or poss microwaved so chewy. The sauces and salad dressings were delicious as were the prawns and squid. All in all a really great place to enjoy lunch with a view. We will definitely be back. Thank you Annie
An amazing place with great staff. Jan was our server and was superb. Food was top quality and great value. Get the water taxi and turn into a whole experience.
