Absolutely stunning. As Sunday lunches go this is the pinnacle of a country eatery. The staff, the setting and the quality of the food second to none.
We went for Sunday Lunch and the food was very good. A great cut of beef, however we did ask for extra gravy and weren't told there would be a £2 charge. Only one vegetarian option which was truffle gnocchi. Service was very good, excellent staff. The atmosphere was a bit lacking as it was quiet (we booked for 1pm) started getting busy when we were leaving.
30th Dec 2023. This was our second visit to this first-class gastro-pub which is immaculately maintained, while retaining a cozy atmosphere. Warm welcome, with a friendly & knowledgeable restaurant team. Superb food with all four meals at our table delivered piping-hot and delicious. Generous portions too. We look forward to our next visit.
Really nice place, food excellent but a bit tucked away on a cold winter evening.
Very cosy and welcoming pub. We stopped for a quick lunch, the service was impeccable and the food was of a very high standard. The thrice cooked chips were a highlight!
