I'm not sure what to say about this place. It wasn't what we expected when walking into the place. It was an odd atmosphere with a hen do singing really loud. The place was fairly empty when we arrived. We were given a booth to sit in and that's where the magician came to perform glhis show. His tricks were good but it was very short. 10mins maybe. The music and hen do did make it hard to listen to the magician and keep focus. I expected the place to be a bit more upmarket. And i believe they could be. It's a bit run down, a bit dark and the toilets need serious attention. They were what you expect in a old pub after many customers had used them. As it was quite empty there I'm surprised they were so gross. Due to the co2 shortages all taps were off and we could get not buy bottles or spirits. Two Mexican beers were close to £9. Very expensive in my mind. Overall I liked the maginicans especially the ongoing performance at the raised table. I understand they have been going on for a while here so they must be doing something right, I just can't see why they can't make the place a bit more appealing on the eyes.
Good venue to go to. Good atmosphere. Has a live magician which was great to see but hard to hear over the karaoke that was in the background. No beers on tap only one cider and only two choices of beer.
The magic was great. There was a guest magician on and his set was very well put together. I would give Steven five stars for his magic alone. However this being a karaoke bar as well we found it quite difficult to hear what Steven was saying. We would have loved more magic and less karaoke.
The magic was pretty good but the bar itself is a standard nightclub; dark and a bit grimy.
Fantastic! we did the cocktail making and magic class for my best friends hen party, it was brilliant! The staff were so friendly, We all had so much fun making the cocktails as strong as we wanted. Also got to learn a few magic tricks which added a bit of extra fun to the night. we had so much fun in there we stayed for the rest of night enjoying the DJ and the incredible live singer. The hen thoroughly enjoyed herself as did the rest of the group. Highly recommend the master class!! The only tiny negative I would say is that there was still another Hen group in there when we arrived so we had to sit and wait for about 15/20 mins for them all to finish up before we could get started, however they did get the magician to show us some extra tricks while we waited. That's the only reason I didn't rate it as a 5star
