First time here with my family. we were told it's a great hotel and I can certainly see why. Stayed in one of the front facing rooms which overlooked the sea front . Spacious even with a double and single bed in the room. Very comfy beds too! Lovely and warm no drafts , clean and everything needed to keep us happy including wi-fi Rooms cleaned daily to a high standard. All the staff we met from cleaners to main staff were great. There is a bar which is nice to chill out in. Food was delicious, we mainly ate breakfast as I like to go support local shops and restaurants in the area so most evenings we ate out . There is an evening menu if you wish to stay in. The hotel is in a great location easy to get too and to head out into town which has loads of great shops and eateries we were lucky with parking , garages are available also We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked another two stays next year.

Just stayed on a Turkey & Tinsel weekend arranged by Lorraine Smith. Loved the hotel! Brilliant freindly staff, everyone we met were freindly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was clean across all areas, good food presented well and nice and hot. Dietary requirements catered for without hesitation. Evening entertainment was good and targeted our age group well. Rooms were serviced daily as required, and provisions replaced. We stayed in room 32 which had received mixed reviews due to its size but we found it suitable for the two of us and had three good nights sleep in the bed with no issues. Recommend this hotel to anyone.

Came here for a four night stay with breakfast and dinner included from a “turkey and tinsel” themed holiday with my elderly mother via a Johnson’s coach booking. It was great as we arrived on November 5th (Bonfire night) and there were fireworks and a huge bonfire on the beach. We opted to go and watch it from our hotel room window because it was literally straight in front of us! This place for sea views??? - ONE OF THE BEST! The rooms are really big and so clean: - the staff they have are absolutely brilliant and always there to help you. The food? Absolutely DIVINE! I was so impressed. Even had a free gift from Santa that was a great touch plus free mulled wine and other beverages throughout the four day stay. They REALLY do care about their customers and it truly shows. There’s absolutely nothing I found to complain about. Literally NOTHING. The experience was more like a five star hotel rather than three. The staff would bend over backward to help you with literally anything. Unfortunately the day we arrived, the lift broke and so many of those with us had issues with mobility and getting up those stairs really struggled. MOST of the group I was with enjoyed the entertainment at night so much they’d all be extremely merry and dancing around at 11pm opting to crawl up the stairs on one occasion as they’d had a little too much fun and the drinks had been flowing all night. It was hilarious and the energy was just buzzing there. The group I was with were mostly in the pension age bracket and I’m in my mid 30’s and with my mum making memories to cherish forever and genuinely we couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. I’ve never seen so many pension aged adults getting so drunk and seemingly still getting up for breakfast at silly o’clock in the morning without a hangover. 😂 Honestly it was lovely to see though. Extremely funny when your just watching it all being completely sober (thanks antibiotics for not allowing me to drink!!) The entertainment was THAT GOOD people wanted to get into the hotel just to join in but they were full to capacity and couldn’t so at one point they just decided to sing and dance along in the street. (I believe I was one of the youngest in the group and there were a good 35 ish of us) and I was just getting over pneumonia - (I was 48hrs out of hospital) and have fibromyalgia which makes having no lift a big big issue but you could clearly see management daily chasing that up and every day and relentlessly. I was there they were trying to get that cursed lift working again. I’ve never seen a hotel fight to get a lift repaired like they did. They completely understood that most of us had mobility issues and going up three steep flights of stairs got incredibly painful. Unfortunately it didn’t get fixed whilst I was there and the day we left they had another 35 odd people staying and you could see the staff and management were stressing over the lift you did feel a lot if sympathy for them. You could see the manager being extremely apologetic as it truly wasn’t actually their fault and more of a issue with the lift contractors making promises they couldn’t keep and just but being able to fix it when they told the staff they could and would. The hotel was extremely accommodating for one family that couldn’t use any stairs and got rooms at The Rex’s sister hotel just up the road and arranged taxis and everything they needed and more. They really did to everything possible to make all our stays amazing and they did it well. We really didn’t want to leave!! Complete bargain at £77 per night including breakfast and free Wi-Fi (I just checked the pricing whilst writing this review and I think everyone should give this hotel a go as it’s actually cheaper at this time of year than Premier Inn i believe thats just up the road which is INSANE!) It’s worth getting a sea view room or even better one with a balcony. You won’t regret it. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas too (I’m going to add in as many photos as possible) JUST AMAZING! VISIT THIS HOTEL! 💯

Outstanding … staff and plenty of them were all attentive and went over and above to make sure our stay was comfortable. Great location, felt really safe inside and out…Car parking permits are essential but do not guarantee you a parking spot. Food in the evening al a carte was really satisfying as was the breakfast…. Bar was well stocked. Rooms are clean and warm, ours was quite spacious. Nice fluffy towels. And there’s a lift. Christmas theme this time of year … which was very pleasant …Will come again …
