We just had a lovely Sunday lunch today - Christmas Eve - and the service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant and the service was fast. Food was delicious - and all of this at a time when they had multitudes of hotel guests arriving for Christmas. Our family loves coming here as there is ample easy parking and we always have a lovely time in this beautiful hotel.
Fantastic hotel to stay at while travelling on business. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean, all the staff I encountered were lovely and professional, especially the rather classy and elegant manager / supervisor lady. The food was extremely high quality in a really lovely eating area / atmosphere. The best option for York business travel.

Small bar area, so had to walk past people who were eating to reach the room. In the room the shower curtain was less than stellar so the whole bathroom was soaked after a shower. A curtain which reached the floor who solve the issue. However it's close to the centre and makes visiting York easier. £15 a day Parking, not included in room rate.
Lovely quirky hotel offering warm family service. The food was great also. Only complaint which of course is not their fault, is we would have preferred to have been inside the old walls of York. A really beautiful city.
