First time visit to the Hospital inn ! I chose the Chicken stroganoff and my friend had the fish and chips, We both enjoyed our meals and we will be returning soon. The staff " Barman and waitress " The waitress explained the menus to us as we were handed 3 . She explained they have a Monday to Thursday menu that's a little cheaper, So we went for that ! We thought portion size may be a little smaller but we were wrong it was the normal size. There is also a very good selection of beers . So all in all we enjoyed our visit.

We used to eat at the Hospital Inn frequently when visiting family, but hadn’t been for many years after having quite a few bad meals (think it changed hands). We always loved doing a family Christmas Eve meal here every year so we decided to give it another go and it was really great! Really nice food, generous portions and it’s as cosy as I remember. The service was great too. We’ll be back!

I arrived at noon and was greeted warmly. The menus , of which there is plenty to read , has some fabulous choice. You will find something for whatever culinary mood you are in. During the week there is a special reduced price menu , Mon to Thursday and light bite menus also. The whole of the dessert menu , bar 1 item was gluten free and this is a very rare thing. My main meal was able to be adjusted to what I asked for to make gluten free and it did not disappoint... Steak and cheese club style sandwich and side salad and fries... Outstanding . The dessert was the highlight .. the lady who produced the homemade sticky toffee pudding deserves a medal... That's the best gf pudding I have ever had since being diagnosed . .. so much so I kept questioning myself whether it was actually gluten free.... Amazing.. staff friendly and accommodating . Facilities are clean tidy and as expected with everything else being so good. Felt maybe coffees overpriced , for what it was , but suppliers costs etc have kept everything up . When your drink is nearly half the price of the meal , it's a tad on the expensive side. Disabled parking right near the entrance and accommodated suitable seating with no issues . Was not rushed to finish and can't find fault. See you again soon .

Good food at good prices. Service was really good. Though rather empty on a Thursday night this no atmosphere.

Excellent food and service. The interior is so lovely and classic but well maintained. Food was some pub classics and some new, unusual dishes. Good portions, friendly staff and not too expensive. Proper home cooked food, makes a change from all the microwave chain pubs. Must visit.
