The Horse Shoe is a great community pub in Coppenhall, a suburb of Crewe, approximately 1 mile from the town centre and close to Leighton Hospital. The pub is very much a part of the history of Monks Coppenhall Parish and later the town of Crewe.
Pleasant experience, excellent beers the big sur excellent condition
The barmaid lovely . Lanlord miserable . Not a very sociable guy . Not best suited to hospitality sadly . Didnt smile
The landlord needs to clean the lines more regularly. The beer was not nice, dirty dishwasher comes to mind.
We were at the horse shoe today, for my dad's funeral. What a lovely pub. Lovely decor and nice and warm, on a rainy day. X
I only give 4 stars as I did not visit all areas available at the time. Went to a family wake here. My brother-in-law ran this pub a long time ago and used to visit regularly. Going now, it has changed for the better. It still has an original stable at the back from decades ago, a hint of which is reflected in the pub today, with old saddles displayed exquisitely on the wall. Very friendly, the pub has a wonderful, community feel. It was full and busy, full of life and chatter. There was a room upstairs for food, I didn't go to, ideal for small functions, a small room to the side which would probably be quieter, or good for those with children. A good selection of drinks, both non-alcoholic & 'adult' beverages. I'd go again.
