About us
A comfortable flagstoned pub with a local feel situated in the picturesque village of Rennington, just north of Alnwick.
The traditional pub and restaurant is full of character. The pub itself dates back to 1841 and as the name suggests use to house the local blacksmiths, many of the features still remain inside.
Our menu’s include as many locally sourced ingredients and produce as seasonally possible.
We do not allow dogs in the bar but our four legged friends are very welcome on the beer garden where they will be provided with water.

What a great little pub. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The home cooked food was excellent and the chef brought out chicken for our dogs so thumbs and paws up from us all. Thanks for you hospitality.

What more can I say, but the food in here is absolutely tremendous 👍🏻, I can fully recommend the fish finger sandwich (real fresh Cod) it's massive. The cost of the food is good, we will definitely be back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, oh and it's also dog friendly 🐶

Absolutely amazing place for a meal. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The meals good with 5 🌟 quality in amazing time and the taste is divine. Visited most recently 18:30 PM on Thursday 27th July 2023.

Always wonderful here! Been coming here for 10+ years and the staff and food are amazing - really lovely local pub and massive portions!
