The food was plentiful and homemade. I had lasagne, side salad and garlic bread, which was really nice. Most dishes were accompanied by chips and typical pub grub at very reasonable prices . The room was cold and wasn't very busy so this let the atmosphere down
Went down last minute tonight, our own fault that when we got there it was quite busy. However the staff welcomed us in. Both me and my partner have to say it was one of THE BEST meals we have had here, that good we ended up halving each others burger and sharing. 100% the rodeo burger and the ultimate roast sandwich. Well done to Ado, chef and the team. Definitely will be back 😊
We went here by mistake if I'm honest, we thought it was one of the chain pubs we'd visited a month or so earlier just down the road. I'm glad we gave it a chance! When we went in, we found it was almost empty in the dining area, which was good for us as we'd tried a few other places nearby and they were all packed. But I did wonder if this may be a bad sign? (It wasn't). The staff were immediately welcoming and the menu had a good choice of food available - all cooked to order, and the service from the staff was excellent. We had a really good meal here and will no doubt be back when we are in the area next.
We popped into the Horse 🏇 and Groom for a few after work pints, Thursday evening. We were welcomed and able to set up a tab, which was really helpful. A few pints and some nibbles (chicken wings) and a Chicken kebab 🍢 and we were on our way. Friendly service, clean pub 🍻 decent ale and a good selection on tap. It got busier around 18:00 in the food seating area. We enjoyed it and will be back soon 😁 Thanks for hosting us 🚀🍻💪🤩
Went there for the braised beef with mash on a tuesday night. Food was top-notch, Guinness was great, service was superb. The atmosphere in this traditional pub was as brill as always. Still love the Horse & Groom!!!
